Great food, lovely rooms. Well worth the price
Room was dirty, shower kept going from hot to cold and leaked causing a big puddle of water on the floor. The security latches on windows were broken and the double glazed section of glass was missing.In the dining area the ceiling leaked and an exposed wire was found on the toaster, staff were advised but did nithing to make the item safe.There was an argument in the hallway by a new guest whis room was also found to be dirty and this went on from around midnight to 0230.Having said all that the food in the restaurant was nice hence 1 star. Ended up being booked into same place by my organisation 2 weeks later and ended up getting same room. Room was dirty, shower still faulty, window still broken. Continental breakfast had no croissants and had to wait 20 minutes after asking for them. Not happy and wont be coming back. I suggest you find somewhere else to stay.
Great service from friendly staff, lovely views to watch the world go by and a wide range of good food at low prices! Carvery is delicious and one of the best around for the price!
Fred was so helpful, sorted out a very last minute room for us after another hotel was too awful to stay in. Rooms are clean, tidy and good value for money. We had a lovely view of the river from our room too.Dinner in the bar was good and Fred was the best host. I would definitely stay here again
What can I say. This place has a great location, great staff and good food. You are always made to feel welcome and at home. Try a feshly made pizza (the chef hand making the pizza is very funny and always helpful), they are amazing and the carvery is good too. Start the day with a hearty breakfast and at theses prices you will not find better value.
