Please could stacking chairs routinely be made available for peak swimming lesson times e.g 3 to 6 for children's carers. Many are grandparents and would find the provision very welcome!
Swimming facility on its own is good however the lessons offered are quite poor especially for Stage 1 onward/new starters. An extremely laid back and unstructured approach which i found quite annoying. Sessions overcrowded and mostly no focus on ensuring the child is learning (except there was one assistant that really encouraged kids to do well and assimilate the idea of swimming by overcoming their initial anxiety over this etc..) Wouldn't recommend the training side of things. cost to benefit is simply poor! There are much better swimming training classes and independent teachers if that's what you are after.
One star for the ability to book anything on-line. Won't allow booking of a class (I'm a member), all classes say they conflict with other classes I've booked, rubbish. Took screen shot and tried to send email to the address given and comes back undelivered, twice! Grrrrrrrr!
Went swimming here only to see POO in the pool before any of the staff!!, so who knows how long it had been in there.When i told a staff member everyone was told to get out. They fished this Lump of POO out of the pool with a bucket then told everyone they could get back in. Health and saftey warning the pool was not drained which it should have been! I will not be swimming here again disgusting...........
We really like taking our kids (2&4) to this pool, but 3 times in as many weeks we have been turned away due to the teaching pool being full. Anyone with young kids knows its not straightforward getting ready for a swim, and to make the journey only as far as reception is disappointing for everyone. We always check the teaching pools timetable online to make sure the sessions are open/appropriate - its about time those updates highlight if the pools are running at high capacity as well OR give a pre-book option, to have neither doesnt seem fair.
