I've been a member of this gym for 5 years now, and have seen it go from strength to strength in that time, with a constant stream of new and better equipment being introduced. I'd recommend it to anyone no matter what their training style - it really has got something for everyone! They do a great job of balancing a no-nonsense training environment with a friendly, familial atmosphere. Just being here makes me want to push myself, and it really feels like everyone supports each other's training. Its locally-owned, and the owners are around most days so they can really keep an eye on what members want. This is not a cheap, flimsy commercial gym, it's not an extortionate 'health club', and it's not a macho gym full of angry meatheads. It's the real deal, a place where you can simply turn up and work on improving yourself every workout, and probably make some friends along the way too.Keep up the great work, guys!

Excellent gym, first rate staff. With a huge selection of equipment and several rooms thus facility offers everything for every goal and athlete. I was really impressed with the quality if the equipment, the atmosphere was second to none, experienced, very good prices on memberships with lots thrown in, friendly staff, variety of well priced supplements. One of the best facilities I've ever been to and would whole heartedly recommend it for anyone.

A good gym in many aspects, let down by extremely poor management. They frequently introduce unfair, unreasonable and mostly ridiculous rules that negatively affect large numbers of members, and they do this without any discussions, or communication to their members - simply stick another piece of paper on the wall and expect everyone to shut up and get on with it. If you do raise your dissatisfaction with the service that has been changed since you originally signed up, they simply ignore you or say itsfor the greater good of the gym. What they mean however is they want to cater to the masses and your concerns are not important, as Phoenix's real goal is to have a large number of members that sign up for the year, pay and then rarely show up and use theequipment (less overhead that way).I'd been a member for almost 3 years, and originally was sold a gym that catered to the style of training I was interested in and was being offered. At this time the lower membership numbers meant they relied more on the members and it was a much nicer place to train because each member was valued and appreciated. Now it's only about getting as many people signed up as possible and selling them products they dont need and hoping they dont complain about the poor services. As such, what once made Phoenix Gym great is deteriorating.Unfortunately Phoenix Gym is heading more towards a commercial style Gym and is no longer interested in providing an engaging, competitive atmosphere for people that are enthusiastic about their training or care about having a productive training environment. If you're looking for a Gym to join, you may as well head to one of the other commercial style Gyms in town, as these will be far cheaper.Tldr : Phoenix Gym used to be Average Joe's...and now its Globo Gym.

I hadnt been to the gym in almost a year as Ive been recovering from 3 operations. I probably could of gone from last month but was so anxious about starting again but I really didnt need to be. The staff at Phoenix gym Norwich are so lovely and really made me feel at ease. This is the friendliest gym I have ever been to and the other members are really friendly too. I never feel awkward like I have done in other gyms and thats a big thing for me as Im not the fittest person in the world

Great gym, with a constantly improving variety of equipment. Friendly atmosphere, that allows you to either workout with others, it just get in with it yourself. Staff are knowledgeable and always willing to help. Great gym!!
