The owner "Scott" still owes my buddy around 500 dollars for a frame he bought overseas. It's been like 4 years Scott, just pay what you owe. Getting dragged out for a while now, and with you blocking us on all social media it's been difficult to get a hold of you.
Severe lack of competency. Presented my marzocchi 66 ata to scott for repair and service after a leaking ata cart left me at half travel. Recieved a call that my forks had been finished and tested and to collect them. Upon arrival they had not even been pumped to be tested with air. Proceeded to pay the full 130 like the fool i am believing the forks would be fine. Once i got them home the problems started to become apparent. Right stantion seal had not been seated, deep gouge marks on the inner edge of the aluminium on the legs were the seals had been ham fistedly removed and upon pumping up the original fault was still there. I gave him the far chance to rectify the fault and returned the forks same day. A week later i msg to be questioned what frame i run these forks on and that they would apparently be fine to run these broken at a reduced height because it was better for my frame and wouldn't damage the fork.Id just like to add here this information i was given is grossly incorrect. The rc3 chamber has an incredibly small spring to assist compression tuning and the ata/par chamber relies purley on air, any leak will cause these to incorrectly balance aur over the piston and risks damaging the lower par piston and its tethers that tie it to the lower chamber cap.So at this point i have a set of forks that are not fit for purpose because of an internal air leak but im being told i cannot have a full refund because tge forks that are not fit for purpose have been serviced, does this make sense? Not really.Im offered at most a 65 refund because the shop must cover its parts. Im refused to see an itemised receipt but am told that the seal are 50 and oil is 15. Unfortunately for scott both marzocchi and skf seals have there branding embossed into the stantion seals.. These do not leaving me to assume there the 10 fleabay set. And to top it off 1Ltr of 7.5w fork oil costs 5.99, the forks according to marzocchi specs only require 325ml.. Must be some magic oil for 15...Collected the forks and taken the partial refund. Barclays is now opening a payment despute to seek the last of the money back. Stripped the forks down myself xmas eve morning to find an incredible amount of contaminates and grease to thick for fork internals. Funny enough the ata seal which is a common issue hadnt even been changed or was damaged upon rebuild as the oring was frayed. Good clean up and replacing the seal with that spec'd by marzocchi and the forks are back to full travel. Guess i fixed the impossible as you stated?? Just a single weep remaining from the valve seal which will be repaired tommorow.. Amazing that was never picked up by the shop either. Lessons to learn scott:- realise some customers aren't thick and will do there research. Especially those who pre warn you there maintenance engineers by trade.- if your out of your depth hold your hands up, theres no shame in it but customers usually dont take well to be charged for a job you havnt done or messed about. Sending msgs such as "How do you suppose I fix the unfixable?" might be a clear sign you were out of your depth from the start and shouldnt of taken the job on. - seals require a clean, even face to seal upon. If you even did take the internals apart and resealed them you should feel ashamed that you left that many contaminates inside the forks. And a frayed seal? That's either a rookie mistake (which should of been rectfied in the week you had the forks back) or the signs that you never did open them up to replace the orings. - a customer who knows there statory rights isnt "being absolutely ridiculous" as you stated in one of your msg'sAnyone who wishes to see photographic evidence of the poor work manship hit me up on instagram jekyll_306 where i can even show all msg's. Even if barclays fail in recovering the last 65 back maybe i can prevent someone else getting mugged off by this glorified parts fitter.
Have dealt with Pedal Addiction for about three years. A great rider-run mtb shop with an owner who will only recommend to you what he would ride himself.Add to that great mechnical knowledge and weekly evening rides, and you've got the best mtb shop in town!

Without doubt the best bike shop in Norwich. Customer service is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. They dont try and sell you things, just great advice is given. I wanted some new fittings for my mtb and the new parts have made the bike handling so much better. All work was done quickly and the bike now looks amazing. Really happy with the advice, time and effort Scott put into making my bike awesome. Def my go to bike shop from now on.
