Im a little upset with my experience today. I have to drop my children off at school which isnt too far away from the city but unfortunately there was a lot of traffic which cannot be helped so I rang to apologised and explained there was a lot of traffic. I ran from the car park and got there 6 minutes later than my appointment, 6 minutes!! The dentist told me off Infront of the dental nurse telling me how bad I was. Being stuck in traffic is something that cannot be avoided. I replied to remind him that there has been many occasions Ive sat in the waiting area for up to half hour in the past. Im a hairdresser so therefore I have an appointment system in my profession too. If I were to have a customer that was running late I wouldnt dream of talking to them like that, especially if they were about to pay me almost 250 for a service. Ive always been happy with this dentist and have been going for years, but today was the first time I was late (6 minutes) and Im very upset for the way I was spoken to.
Inconvenient experience throughout. Registered with the practice about 3-4 months ago, never got to see a dentist! Extremely understaffed practice due to maternity and holiday, therefore didnt have appointments that were suitable...shoehorned into an appointment that wasnt suitable even though they were told as much, oh Ill book it for you and you could change it later(I couldnt), which hap-hazard shifts and an inability to cancel ahead meant that I couldnt call in to rearrange (srike 1). On the second occasion work commitments (again) and a morning after a night shift, oversleeping and quite frankly forgetting the appointment meant I was late (my fault strike two and the ban hammer struck me) their policy dictates that they can no-longer see me. Reception went to speak to a dentist, they seemed to not want to talk to me. This practice doesnt use text alert or have any sort of online interaction and is very antiquated. If you are a young professional who at this time work rules you this is not the place to go. Their blanket policies and lack of flexibility meant that it was extremely difficult to meet their appointments, it seems to be that they expect that you fit your life to the appointment or else...Ive gone elsewhere to a dentist that doesnt do any of those things. If you have a hectic work life balance and are looking for a dentist dont register you are wasting your time, stressful & unforgiving is how Id sum the practice up... I am happy to be contacted by the practice and I am a patient at this practice, if they do contact me I shall edit this review after this paragraph to reflect this. If nothing shows then contact hasnt been made. 5/11/18.
From reception, examination then dental work the best of NHS dentists. Our thanks C&E from Drayton.
I am petrified of the dentist (not through this places fault whatsoever) and whenever I go in I am a pathetic panicky patient yet I get treated with dignity and am never made to feel stupid - I feel like the staff here genuinely care about their patients. They take the time to actually listen and explain everything thoroughly. I am so relieved to have found this surgery and I will never go anywhere else again. I would strongly recommend this place if you are nervous about going to the dentist. The reception staff and dentists are absolute stars!
Great dental surgery. I used to work here many years ago. It was a great place to work. Very professional and clean. Highly recommend.
