The summer "holiday club" is a total waste of money. Despite the huge listing of activities on their site, my kids were only offered archery on the first day they attended, and spent the whole afternoon in one room, and told to do colouring.We gave the centre the benefit of the doubt due to the poor weather in the morning of the first day, and despite our kids' protestations, took them again (as we'd booked 4 days in total). In brilliant summer sunshine and 30c + temperatures, they weren't offered any water activities. Instead, they were given one go at archery each. In the afternoon, they were supposedly being taught "orienteering", but were simply given a basic map and stamp to show they'd found various locations (some actually by a roadside, and the kids left unaccompanied), while the staff drank tea and chatted. We're never going there again. We've cancelled the other 2 days we'd booked, and will be asking for a refund. It's a total rip-off. My kids were so disappointed, after seeing so many happy looking kids in the site's photos. Great marketing. Appalling service. We can only assume they pull out all the stops for school bookings, where they are under the scrutiny of teachers, and for parties, where they have to deliver with parents looking on.
