I've been going to the smaller Namaste just off Castle Meadow and have always had great service but my first experience at the larger Namaste Village was mixed. The food was slighty different from the smaller Namaste but still delicious, I cannot fault the food at all.My experience with the service was a different matter, we'd booked a large table half of us arrived on time but the Manager/Owner did nothing but give us a hard time about when the others would be arriving. They arrived 15 minutes later while we'd ordered drinks. He continued to insert himself into the service of the table, interrupting the waiter, generally being overbearing and seemed to just confuse things. He treated his staff badly and in the end it seemed like noone knew what was going on. Half the table got their starters then the other half got theirs the same time the first got their mains. Dishes came out that no one ordered. Our bill was clearly wrong in the end and we didn't have time to help them fix that so just settled the apparent 40 outstanding that noone had ordered just to get out of there and on to our next destination on our night out. When your job is to take orders and serve those orders, large table or not, it should not be that complicated. We'll stick to the smaller restaurant to avoid that rude manager.3 Stars as the food was still delicious.
Namaste serve excellent food, I have been multiple times and look forward to eating here again.
Really nice setting and ambiance, the food was really nice but on the night we went the service was quite slow. Also in case you dont know they don't serve alcohol or meat dishes. This gets a bit confusing when you get the drinks menu with beers and wines in it. The waiter asked us if we wanted alcohol or not we said yes only to then be given a horrible alcohol free beer. If they had just said the don't serve alcohol I would have been just as happy with coke or another soft drink.
Awesome pure vegetarian fresh food, Great atmosphere with soft Indian music. Most suitable place for family, friends to spend some quality time. Staff was helpful and courteous.Total value for money.
This place is amazing. Great vibe, friendly staff, delicious food. The flavors and their combinations have to be experienced by everybody, not just vegetarians. Made my day.
