It's a good place to take children
Lovely outdoor area and playground for the little ones.Sometimes has a caf serving coffee, tea and food.
Nice place to have a jog or letting children to practice riding bicycle, and the council keep the grounds and the woods well looked after. Shame on those who didn't clean up after their dog.
Thorpe park is a very good park. Plenty for the kids to do. There is a large field and small woodland walk for you and your dogs to enjoy, plenty of dog poo bins. As well as toilet facility's there is a small cafe which is open Tuesday & Thursday's 8 till 4 pm. Saturday & Sunday's 9 till 4pm. Also a recently built running track which circles the whole field and tennis courts. Very busy on Saturday and Sundays due to numerous football pitches.
Nice playground for kids, especially now they have removed the 10 ft high fence making it look like a young offenders institute! There is a good selection of equipment however there are a few dates items, including the 'rocking' horse which is quite dated. There are some newer equipment for slightly older kids and also some 'Gym' equipment outside the park area. There is football on at the weekends so do beware of some bad language. Otherwise good location, good car park and good playground.
