Great shop after going to Wilkinson, Qd, Roy's, home base, looking for old type curtains hooks/runners found them in thorns which was recommended by a member of the public as I'd never heard of them before but what a great store its an aladins cave of DIY thanks thorns saved me from having to purchase new rails
I love Thorns. I have shopped there on & off for forty years. I don't much like their current 'hostile environment' returns policy. This attitude is not what has kept Thorns going through thick and thin. It is not Thorns' fault if some of the multitude of products they sell don't work, but it is Thorns' fault if staff are unhelpful, uncooperative, unyielding, publicly humiliate & practically criminalize someone who has the audacity to return faulty goods. I am disappointed. Some of the large multiple retail competitors may have faults but I have never found returning faulty goods to be one of them. I am more disappointed in Thorns because it feels like being let down by an old friend.
This shop is amazing and a would highly recommend. The staff are really nice and friendly. The products you can buy here are amazing and good quality for the price. I go here quite often and not once have I been disappointed. Please show this shop some support and go here!
What a wonderful find as we have recently moved to Norfolk this shop was a revelation. Great service from very friendly and knowledgable staff. Highly recommend for your DIY needs.
A top drawer hardware store right in the city centre. This morning I bought galvanized cabin hooks, mini suction cup hooks for hanging stained glass art on windows, picture hooks, spare nails and a couple of M4 50mm bolts. Very competitive prices and a fabulous, slightly chaotic layout, which for me only adds to the pleasure of going there. I invariably find the items I went for as well as other stuff I had forgotten I needed. A city gem.
