Just moved into new Hopkins homes house in mulbarton and phase 3 carried out the electrical installation. For all there website talks about "a reputation for quality" they didn't install an amendment 3 consumer unit (metal and fire containing) but a plastic mk consumer unit. To the untrained eye they would have got away with this however my husband who is an electrician picked up on this. Hopkins homes were happy to replace the consumer unit however my husband carried this out at our expenditure at the earliest opportunity as a risk of firespread is always a worry. The fact is phase 3 blatantly tried to get away with a cheap non regulation (amendment 3) consumer unit... beware!
