I came here to buy boots and trekking clothes in preparation for a week-long hike through Finland in the summer. The man who helped my mother and me choose boots and determine the right size was extremely helpful. As advised, I tried them on again in the evening and they were a bit too small so I came back to switch them for a larger size with no issues. The boots served me very well on the trip, and I'm sure they will for many hikes to come. My only complaint is that I feel the clothing selection is a bit lacking at times. However, there is a lot of useful camping/trekking equipment upstairs, like eco-friendly soap sheets, water purification tablets, etc.
I love this place. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who know exactly what they are talking about. Always helpful even if it was to only try a pair of boots on. Lovely location within the City and market area.
Went in to browse backpacks. The sales guy was extremely knowledgeable and not pushy at all, gave some great advice which we had not thought of. Suggested visiting their website as they obviously can't stock every type of backpack in each store. Very happy with experience. Good job Cotswold Outdoor!
